Can anybody tell me where the new In Vogue beach club is? I am meeting some relatives there in a couple of weeks but can;t find the location in Playa anywhere..they are on a cruise and will be coming by ferry from Cozumel...thanks for your help on this one

In my opinion when the cruise lines use the phrase you will be taken to the Mayan Riviera´s most “In Vogue” beach club. They don't mean the beach club will be called "In Vogue", it will simply be in the cruise line's opinion a popular beach club.

okay...got in touch with the relatives and it sounds like the cruise line is bringing them to Playa to the Puerto Real or the Royal or down by the old dock and going to the Blue Parrot....time will tell....apparently everyone on the cruise ship were under the impression the In Vogue was a new spot....glad we got that sorted out.....Thanks everyone for your help...think I'll sit and have a beer and laugh at this one

Canibal Royal uses the phrase "In Vogue" in their description and so perhaps your relatives could even end up there. However as they only use "In Vogue" and not the name of a beach club like the Canibal Royal they are not under any obligation. It may just be down to who gives the best kick back. Kick backs are always in vogue.

Most of the cruise ships have arrangements with beachclubs for sunbeds and meals etc. If they say they will take your folks to the Parrot, they probably mean it. Now If they say they will arrange a ferry trip to Playa and suggest the Parrot as a place to spen the day, its a very different thing.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I always thought it was a French expression that's been around for hundreds of years but I guess they stole it from the girl group in Oakland.
