U.S. Olympic Team uniforms made in China

OK, I'm sick of the presidential thread.

“It’s just part of globalization,” Timothy Tsun Ting Fok, president of the Hong Kong Olympic Committee, told Rendezvous. “Clothes are made in China, Vietnam, all over Asia. The limelight should be on the athletes now. This shouldn’t be hijacked by politicians.”

Harry Reid:

WASHINGTON—Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was unambiguous in his response when asked about an ABC World News report that the U.S. Olympic team’s opening ceremony uniforms were made in China rather than by American textile workers.

The uniforms, designed by Ralph Lauren, have “made in China” labels on them, the ABC report said.

Mr. Reid said he thought “they should take all the outfits, put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over.”

We have tried having some of our clothing lines made here in the U.S.A, but not only is it costly, but the quality can also be an issue. U.S.A on the label does not always mean quality goods.

How girlyman are these outfits. I woulda been beaten to a pulp trying to wear this where I grew up.
