Well, not sure that is possible. You will have to read on to find out what happens on Mr. Bill's Mexican adventure.

Re: that beach....I just had a client who was considering this resort write me and say it's off the list because they "heard" the beach was just horrible.

Right, and believe everything you hear and not what I tell you. Then why come to me?

Ugh.........Their loss!

The beach is FAR from horrible! Wow, where are they getting their info?! It was just beautiful. Sure, there were some rocks near the preferred club side, but nobody swam over there anyway. You can see how smooth and beautiful it is! Crazy, crazy....and those aren't even "great" pics, but it still shows how nice it is. People are a$$clowns.

More on the Beach...

I posted this before, but this is the beach looking south.

AnnaLynne, if you want I have more beach pics at home (from Miles' iPhone) I can send you, but if your client would rather go on what they "heard", then their loss, like you said.

Crococun Zoo - Puerto Morelos

For those of you who do not know about this place, here is a snippet from their website, "Croco Cun Zoo was originally established as a crocodile farm, dedicated to the breeding of crocodiles and the sustainable commercialization of its products.

In 1988, Croco Cun was pounded by hurricane “Gilbert”, it practically destroyed the farm. However, as time passed, it began to rise with a new concept: CROCO CUN ZOO, 100% conservationist project. The operation of the farm has now become a sustainable program here in Mexico, because it protects and promotes the conservation of the species."

We really enjoyed our trip to Crococun. It was about a 15 minute ride from the resort. We had a private tour guide just for our family and the tour lasted about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, Grant got sick half way through and he and I missed most of the tour, but they gave us 4 free passes to come back anytime that week. We never did make it back, but the gesture meant a lot to us.

Miles and Jackson took over with the picture taking. I am actually kinda glad I missed all the snakes and such! Forget it!

I think this might be one of the only pictures of me, I was mostly behind the lens this trip.

HUGE SNAKE!

Things started to fall apart a little bit upon returning to the resort…Miles had to go lay down (he was developing a nasty cold and cough) and Jackson informed us that Mr. Bill was accidentally left in the back of the taxi! Jackson felt SO bad.

We were all devastated by the news of Mr. Bill’s early departure from us, only 3 days into our trip. We had such plans for him.

In a futile effort, Miles approached the ever-so-friendly front desk staff to see if they could call the taxi company and attempt to locate Mr. Bill. We showed them pictures of him, and they looked at us like we were nuts (again, a common theme with the front desk here).

We even remembered our taxi driver’s name - - Arturo Morelos - - and they called the taxi stand/staging area (right outside the resort) with no luck. He was gone for the day.

We checked back the next day (and had to explain the whole story all over again to someone new), only to learn that Arturo had called in sick.

Our slim hopes of ever seeing Mr. Bill again were dashed, and we agreed as a family to let it go. We set our sights on finding a new mascot to take pictures of in precarious situations. It was our new mission.

Miles got sicker throughout the trip, but Edson (preferred lounge waiter) took great care of him with many special tea/whiskey concoctions. I will say that Miles was a trooper and made the most of it, even though I know he felt like crap. He coughed all night long for the last 6 days/nights. I caught the same bug the day we got back and it knocked me out for a week.

But like I said, he powered through and still had a great time (or so he said he did the gazillion times I asked him!). The great service, food, drinks and atmosphere probably helped him carry on, they really took great care of him (so did I!), and he rested as much as he could.

As for Mr. Bill / Mr. Bill’s replacement…well, I guess you have to read on to find out what happens next.

Great report so far! I'm glad "Mr Hand" hasn't given Mr Bill any problems!

I had not considered this resort but it looks great. I'll be interested in what you have to say about food & drinks.

I cannot believe how grownup the boys are!!!!!

Hi, I think you must have been posting this the same time I was posting my last update...but see above for the "departure" of Mr. Bill story.

I had not considered this resort or this area either until Shammy turned me onto it. So glad she did.

My next post will be all about the food and drinks, but in short - the food was GREAT! Drinks were good too, but nothing too far different than what I have experienced at other AI's. The had a decent liquor selection, and would "double up" on anything you asked. No shortage of fancy, multi-colored frozen drinks either. More on that in next post...
