 This morning, we found this little puppy girl tied up in front of the shelter. She is around 3 month old. Lola will be her name. We need a sponsor for Lola's vaccines and tests. Who wants to be Lola's sponsor? Encontamos esta cachorra amarrada esta manana frente al refugio. Tiene como 3 meses. Necesitamos un padrino o madrina para sus vacunas y tests. Quien quiere serlo? |

We met Sylvie - what a wonderful lady
We had just arrived in Playa the afternoon of August 18 and my daughter noticed an SOS from Sylvie for adult dog food. We immediately took our luggage to our room and took a taxi to her resturant to give her enough money to purchase 2 large bags of dog food.
Sylvie is such a nice lady and we are so grateful that she helping the dogs in Playa. We have been going to Playa for the last 15 years and really notice the huge difference in the number of homeless dogs on the streets. We must express our thanks to Sylvie and all the other volunteers and organizations who are helping the homeless dogs and cats in Playa. We always felt sad to see the street dogs and our daughter always had a bag of dog and cat food in her purse whenever we were there. When we stayed an apartment in Playacar, she had us trap cats, walk with the trap to Claudia levy's Vet clinic where Claudia would sterilize the cats. Then, she would have us pick up the cats from the clinic, take them to the apartment and once they recovered from the operation, we would let them back out where we had trapped them. We are very glad that Coco's now sterilizes the cats and now when we visit Playacar, we notice that the cats we see there all have their ears clipped. Thank you again to everyone who contributes to the welfare of the dogs and cats in Playa - the vets, the volunteers, the visitors and all those who make donations. We really appreciate it. |
