I think Club Yebo might be a good choice for us.. The price is hard to beat!!

Anyone else know more about it.

We haven't stayed at club yebo yet but have booked a week in February
and May based on reviews from friends and trip advisor! I went through several pages of reviews and didn't come across any that were cause for concern.

Sonofdob & Mouse stayed there last year and did a trip report. Check it out The Playa Leap pic of Club Yebo start on page 2. I do know they've booked there again for 2013.

My husband and I came to Playa del Carmen for our Honeymoon and we're coming up to our 4 year anniversary in September. We're looking for a hotel close to 5th avenue and really close to the beach. We're water people.. we love the beach. A pool at the hotel would be really great too. Free breakfast in the morning would be nice.. but not necessary.

Of course I have all these wants on a lower budget... of coursssee. We want to stay around $100/night - may pay more.

What do you guys think about Illusions Boutique, Aventura, Aqualuna, Luna Blue?

Any help would be great!!! thanks!!

Luna Blue is close to everything and under your price, with snack breakfast..

For under $100, you can get a kitchen suite at Luna Blue with a full size fridge to keep drinks and food. Plus a table and chairs and plenty of space. They have a great pool, bar, coffee and treats for breakfast, great North end location and give beach passes to several beach clubs in the area.
See, there's love for Luna Blue!

I looked into Aventura also.. another great choice. When you say the beach is a 5 to 10 min walk.. Is there a beach club there?
And which beach clubs do you guys recommend?
They give you free passes to Kool Beach Club and Indigo Beach Club.

Have you considered a condo stay?

We stayed at Arena Blanca and loved it....newer, high end condo, small building, very quiet at night, good-sized courtyard pool. Weekly price VERY reasonable for what you get -in low season, especially.

Playa del Carmen Condos Arena Blanca

We stayed in a one bedroom ground floor unit that has two bathrooms...very nice for a couple to not have to share getting ready. Lovely big living room with a small balcony that opens to the pool and a full kitchen for drinks/snacks. Beach umbrella, cooler, washer/dryer, etc.

24 hour security, very quiet at night. It is between 5th adn 10th, just down the street is La Cueva del Chango. Easy walk to great restaurants and beac clubs, and IMO the nicest beach in town (between Las Palapas and Mahekal).

How far is Luna from the beach? Do they offer free breakfast (not necessary but wondering) ??

5-6 minutes to the beach. They offer a breakfast snack (coffee, tea and sweet breads or pastries).

I loved Club Yebo after showing it to my hubby.. him not so much! ugh.. I think he's looking for more modern than I am. I could care less.

The price is awesome.. I'm going to try to keep convincing him.

The flight came out more than we expected so price is even more important to me. Especially since he's putting me on a budget on this. MEN!!! (NO OFFENSE) haha

Aventura Mexicana might be another good choice for us... And considering Luna Blue as well.

I just want to snap my fingers and voila .. have a pocket full of $$. in my dreams.
