I have been bitten by (count 'em, 10 baby) Black widows at one time and I have seen Brown Recluse spider bites too...
The baby Black widows can make you really sick (but it is not fatal), but the Brown recluse bite is much, much worse. If you get a Staph infection (swelling, redness around the bite, pus formation and fever)...from any bite, well, GO IMMEDIATELY TO EMERGENCY. IF it does not start to go away in 24 hours, or it gets worse...GO IMMEDIATELY TO EMERGENCY or your doctor. Black widow spiders, most people can handle, Brown Recluse, not so much...If you have an allergic reaction...swelling more than 3X the size of the bites after 24 hours...also go to emergency. I am really hoping everything is okay... |

We've been getting bit alot here(Atlanta) this year for some reason! Never see what kind it was, but sounds like yours. A couple of bumps, swelling and itchy. Just put Benedryl on it and watch it to see that it doesn't do anything else!

Yep-that is infected. One can tell by the 'circle of redness' and the central part is filled with pus (yellowish-white or blackish).
Glad to hear that it is better and that your condition continues to improve.
