Romantic Night for dinner on the beach

Hey everyone,

Im going to PDC in a couple weeks for the week of my girlfriends birthday. Id like to take her to a nice romantic dinner on the beach. Ive seen a few threads here about it from a few years ago and it seems like al cielo might be the best. But i was wondering if there are any other places, maybe some that have popped up recently that you can recommend. Seafood would be nice. I want it to be just us on the beach and not 40 other tables with white plastic chairs surrounding us.

Also, any good recommendations for a limo service down there from our hotel?

I second this question. I'm coming down soon and would like something similar although minus the limo.

If money is no object Maroma Resort can accommodate you: Restaurants and Bars on the Riviera Maya - Maroma Resort and Spa - Special Dinners They do accept people not staying at the resort. It's ~20 minutes from Playa. As for a limo: Maroma can make arrangements, if you book a dinner. When you/if you book the dinner; please mention my name at the time of booking. I have been to Maroma over 40 times & everyone knows me.

Snappy & Heather will attest to the romanticism & quality of food.

No idea; I'd guess around $250 USD. Call or e-mail them. Here's the chefs profile: Restaurants and Bars on the Riviera Maya - Maroma Resort and Spa - Chefs Profile

I ended up emailing them.. It's definitely out of our budget but in case wlphoto or any one else is interested in Maroma's special dinner.

"Our special dinners have a cost of $245 us per person (+11% tax + 15% service) and includes a five-course dinner, a private bonfire (only dinners on the beach), a private waiter a bottle of Champagne and the romantic decoration of your table.
It does not include any other beverages but we can add a wine pairing for $75 dollars per person (+11% tax +15% service)."

If anyone has any other suggestions on romantic dinners on the beach or romantic restaurants in general.. I would love to know.

wow. i was going to email them to see. 245+ 26% worth of taxes brings it out to 308.70 per person without drinks. That's a bit too much. Thanks for the suggestion though Arnie.

Anyone else? Thanks

Romance is what you make yourself.

A couple carry out dinners from Cheesters=25 us, a bottle of wine, 20 us, a blanket to throw on the beach, 5 us. No waiters, no music, unlimited time....priceless. All equals $50.00.

This is my kind of romantic dinner We do this all the time in the summer at home (no open container laws in our town) because most restaurants are ridiculously $$$ and very overcrowded. Nothing better than a relaxing night on the beach with your loved one

I have to agree. You can make a much more romantic and intimate dinner date on the beach with your own food and drink and a blanket, watching the waves roll in with the beautiful horizon in the background.

I'm drawing a blank. Most places on or just off the beach are going to be full of tourists it's the nature of the beast.

Maybe check out Tulum...there may be a nice place there and worth the cost of a limo since it's 40 minutes away. The beach there is also gorgeous!

zenzi beach club

I would recommend Zenzi, they can pull out a table to make it almost private I have seen settings that look super romantic and the price is definetely not as expensive
