Which way are you driving to the west side? Be advised there is road construction on both passes. From Crater Lake, the pass to Roseburg has spots of bare gravel.

Hwy 58 is one lane at the Salt creek tunnel up on top of the pass. I think hauling a trailer, 58 is the better route. Either drive is beautiful. Just some delays.

Thanks! We are planning on taking 58. Presently on US 97 almost to 138.

You're close to Diamond Lake. 3 - 4 hours tops.

Went to Crater Lake for lunch, then Mike decided to take 138 instead...we are now following the pilot car..

Stopped for a yummy, yummy lunch courtesy of Uno and the party house. Salmon stuffed pitas with leftover spring lettuce and a sauce made from leftover jalapeno jelly and cesar salad dressing; fresh blackberries and plums picked from the party house tree

Nice, the pahty house was a great place and took good care of all the Peep's and should be Peep's!!!
