Wednesday, just got to Napa. Will do some wine tasting tomorrow. Need to find the small out of the way wineries. Then head for San Simeon on Friday.

I just get tall dark roast with room.

I do not speak that language, but I have heard the word demi used in relation to foundation garments before

There you are! I just made up a song I was going to post.

Oh where oh where have the W's gone.
Oh where oh where can they be?
Are they still in the Redwoods or driving the coast.
On 101 by the sea?

That's all I got.

Today was probably the longest (seemed like it) hardest drive, I just wanted to get there.
We are now inland.
96 degrees
Will take a bike ride to Lake Marie in the morning.
Then wine tasting in the afternoon.

Actually quite good ...
We still have some more redwoods to see near Carmel/Monterey. They say there are 5 types of "red woods" : Coast Redwoods, Dawn Redwoods (smaller), Douglas Fir (actually a pine), Giant Seqouias, and Mandronas.

Napa
5 mile mountain bike ride this morning.
Reached 97 degrees today.
Wine tasting today.
I'm sapped.
Don't mind leaving early tomorrow AM and head for San Simeon.

You forgot to mention that the 5 mile bike ride was almost straight up the mountain...saw a lot of elk, some only 30 feet away.

VERY cool! An animal the size of a horse with a small tree connected to its head, is amazing to see.

I agree.... So far we have seen Tule Elk (near Tule Lake), Roosevelt Elk in the Roosevelt Redwood Grove and these elk just above the RV park. The ones we saw today were mostly female with youngins. I saw only the horns of the buck, but I heard his hooves hitting the rocks as he ran away. Small horse is right....probably weighed in at 140 or more... so wonderful....

Leaving hot Napa for the coast. We found one very good winery, most are reservation-minded and cater to their club members. The name is Cliffvede. So far we have passed the stinking rose of Gilroy and into the Brassica harvest of Salinas...
