Looking for a recliner or lounge chair:)
K after 2 weeks of working online in bed because the living room furniture is uncomfortable my back is killing me. Anyone got a used recliner or even lounger chair from the beach they want to sell? I just need to work in a reclining position. I checked Walmart and they don't even have loungers and their recliner is 2800 pesos lol
Thanks! |

I once thought of Laz-E-Boy recliners as an integral part of the spilled-beer, trailer park, alumininum-carport-and-siding bunch, right up there with the "Full Cleveland" (blue polyester blazer, red polyester duble-knit pants, white belt, and white buck shoes). That was before I hurt my back and needed a recliner. I now see Laz-E-Boy recliners as a work of art, if not outright proof that there really is a God, somewhere.
So, where to find one in Mexico? Looked high and low, but only came up with some Mexican knock-offs at Wal-Mart - they sort of work, but they're just not the real thing. I've seen only one real Laz-E-Boy in a condo in Xaman-Ha (call me, Glenn, if you want to sell it!). So if anybody out there has a truck, fill it up with Laz-E-Boys and peddle them here (and honey-cured hams, and...well, the list is endless, and grist for lots of other threads).... If you had the Laz-E-Boy franchise here (if there were a Laz-E-Boy distributor in Mexico - but there isn't), you would do well. And so would my back. Suerte! |

La-Z-Boy furniture/products are carried by Liverpool Department stores throughout Mexico. There are also other stores in Mexico that carry La-Z-Boy products.
There is a huge new Liverpool store being built on the south end of Playa on 307 but that won't help you guys (lucylola) as I expect that it won't open until Christmas time, if that. Last edited by absoluteAL; 08-15-2012 at 08:31 AM.. |

I purchased a nice recliner at Costco (Cancun) and it is extremely comfortable. Cost was $4600 pesos. It is made in China but many of La-Z-Boy products are assembled in the US from parts/fabric are made elsewhere (outside of the US). It isn't as La-Z-Boy...............but it will do.

We bought two beautiful and comfortable recliners, a couple of years ago, at Sears in Cancun, and they delivered them to Playa. The brand doesn't come to mind right now, but they were imported from the US! They had a great variety to choose from.

Thanks guys I am not really fussy on the brand and have been out and about looking today. I was trying not to spend a lot since I am here for 3 months then coming back again in March or April for 6 months and will have to find a place to store it til then. I have found my back doesn't hurt working from like one of those beach loungers. Today I found the padding for the beach loungers for 118 pesos at Chedraui and think I can get the actual lounger at Sams. Soo I think I will be fine as soon as I get that
