Mezcal is usually served with lime and chili while tequila is served with lime and salt.

I bought the obligatory Mezcal w/ a worm at the airport on my way home a few years ago. We drank it with some friends and it was VERY smokey. Of course one of the guys had to do the Urban Cowboy trick and tip the bottle up to catch the worm between his teeth, bite it in half and eat it
It was really terrible stuff and I think the only visions he saw were of a toilet bowl...

It's not the worst of the flavored Tequilas and in fact is among the better of the genre. It is finished in port casks and infused with hibiscus which give it a very distinct flavor. It's not my cup of tea but I have sampled some good cocktails made with this product.

thanks sean... i think its a hit or miss with some of the infused items... when i infuse at home i have always enjoyed the outcome but i find when premade and purchased they get too syrupy for my taste...

Who are you asking?
For me, Gran Centenario Repasado is my "everyday" tequila.
For my VIP guests I offer them Gran Centenario Repasado [/QUOTE

GCR is my go to also, I have been known to cheat with Don Julio Anjeo :-)

I like the Roseangel in a cocktail or chilled to sip, not sweet at all, more floral.
