Getting ready to experience Playa
My wife, infant daughter (she'll be about 8 months old when we arrive) and I are going be in Playa for at least a month starting Jan 2. We just booked an apartment through a local agency there and I've got my fingers crossed that everything's on the up and up.
Our trip will be at least a month, and we'll stay as long as we love it. Can't wait, it should be amazing. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as I look forward to spending more time on this site as we get things arranged. |

We're looking forward to another to Playa Del Carmen in February ( out travels to PDC , all begun in 2003 -- our daughter's wedding-- kid's were married at XCARET) Dawn & Brad are renewing their vows, shall family & friends attending . There loads of web-site to find required interests. Have done so many things on different trips, favor is XCARET, did a full day trip & attended the dinner show ( great learning experience about the Mayan culture) Take care & have a great day. Awesome, sounds great! My wife actually has a long time friend who lives there in Playa most of the year, and we FINALLY got ahold of him and it turns out that when he first went there, he stayed in the exact same apartment building that we found to stay in for our first month. Crazy!
We're super excited and can't wait to go. Also, it seems like the people on this forum are pretty much 50:50 Canadian:Texan. We're going there from Austin and my dad is Canadian, so I'm sure we'll fit right in! |

Crazy about your friend's coincidence - maybe you will end up just like him and live there, too! Have fun planning! |

Well the passport for our daughter got delayed so we weren't able to make our flight yesterday but we'll be in Playa tomorrow! Right now I'm working on trying to find a good shuttle service to get us from CUN. We have a lot of luggage as we're bringing a big stroller for my daughter and a electric mobility scooter thing for my MiL, so that will necessitate some heavy hauling...
