Holiday Shopping

This year I'm hoping to do all my holiday shopping online.I absolutely detest going into the shopping malls this time of year. Most of mine we bought through Amazon and various e-retailers or whomever has the best prices. I'm a much happier person to be around this way.

How about you ? Where will your shopping take place ?

I'm an Amazon devotee! Mike already bought his presents for himself ~ a PS Vita game console and games ~ I bought a TENS unit, an acupressure pad and pillow, and an electric lawn/flower bed edger for myself. We don't have anyone else to buy for.

This year, I'm not doing any decorating ~ although I did drag out a small fiber optic tree ~ because we're spending Christmas in New Orleans. I'm taking the little fiber optic tree along and will put it in our unit there.

We send a check to the parents of 3 kids and let them buy. We buy for a couple of local kids and send a restaurant gift card to my mother and one of my brothers.

We don't always buy for each other, but take the every other year trip to the Yucatan around the holidays

I ordered from ToyWiz.com, NFLshop.com, Macys.com and Amazon.com

I refuse to go near a mall on the weekends at this time of the year, so I'm taking Friday off from work, and I will hit the mall early in the morning.

I have my list ready so I can get in and get out quickly, I hope!

For my family in MN, I did most of my shopping in Chiapas and here, on 5th. When I get to the US tomorrow, I am going to go shopping for Rick and me. However, my bedroom at my mom's house is filled with stuff that I ordered online.

Amazon.com and Stubhub.com. Last thing was delivered today. I'm done except for choosing and loading 8 gigs of pics onto a digital frame for my Mom. She asked me to print pictures. No effing way. They run almost $1 a piece and with her dementia she forgets where her clothes are, much less a photo album.

I'm gonna load that baby up, set it on slideshow and let it hum. It will take 3 hours to see every photo. It's an exercise in complex simplicity. I hope she likes it.

Handcrafted metal gifts ... Made in America, in fact the factory is near Pittsburgh.

Beautiful gifts!

Now that would be a great service! My neighbor is going to be home recovering from surgery. She loves to wrap and has offered to do mine! Wow, can't ask for more!

I'm a Scentsy consultant, so most of my family is getting that. Have knocked off 10-12 people off my list that way!

I usually try to go to the mall during the week after work, but I am going to be checking out Amazon for some other gifts. I love my big family....except during christmas time.

I have to ask. Which holiday are you celebrating?

Since mine is Christmas, I have been doing lots of Christmas shopping on Amazon, Nordstrom, Saks and Moosejaw. I got a few good buys at Llbean also. Going to France again for our Christmas. This will be the fifth year in a row!!!

Actually ~ I forgot that Mike always puts together REALLY NICE calendars that feature photos of places we have visited during the year. He orders these online from mpix.com. We give them to immediate family, co-workers, and a few friends. They're pretty darned expensive as calendars go, but everyone always seems to enjoy receiving them, and Mike has alot of fun designing them.
