Heard yesterday that a H & M store might be coming to 5th Alegria Mall.
Not 100% confirmed yet but probably would interest a few of you if it goes materialize.

Bleh!!! I imagine this is nice for locals and expats who miss these stores...but as an American tourist, the LAST thing I want to see in Playa is a store I can see in any mall here...

Yes, indeed.
Although it will probably price itself out of reach of most locals and expats.

Actually, H&M is a very reasonably priced store, it's not considered high-end in the US, really. Maybe pricing in Mexico will be different, though.

Sears is not considered a high end store in the US.
Have you been to Sears here?

No need for it to be high end, would be a welcomed addition...

Responding to a May post?
Sears is here and is "high end", relatively speaking.
More so than in the States.

Its going be a Forever 21 not H&M and personally I am so excited. I find it very hard to find decent priced clothes here. In Canada anyways Forever 21 was my favorite store, hopefully the prices will be about the same!

The Forever 21 website states that it will be opening its Playa del Carmen location early 2014.
