I ate at Yaxche last summer, only once, but it didn't seem like a standout. Maybe it's a function of what I ordered? What's best there?
I also ate at the place on the other side of the street from Yaxche and had a pretty good ceviche and soup. The altruistic waiter there repeatedly volunteered to teach me Spanish after we had chatted and I told him I was at the language school and my husband was in the states . . . Every time he returned to the table, he said, "
I can teach you Spanish, Seņora."
