Thank you for the kind words.

My main workhorse camera is a Panasonic DMC-ZS3. I love that camera: it takes fantastic still photos as well as excellent high definition video. Most of the land-based video was taken with it. I am a crappy photographer but this camera hides all my sins and allows me to get shots well beyond my limited capabilities.

For water-based video and stills I used my Panasonic DMC-TS3.

The Xcaret spectacular was mostly shot with my Canon HV20 camcorder; I found out the hard way that its batteries are reaching the end of their lives and I have a decision to make as to whether I will purchase new ones or put the camcorder into retirement. I'll probably keep it alive - the thing takes excellent 3 megapixel still photos in addition to excellent video.

[I can see I'm starting to come across as a camera geek here, but really I'm not. Or maybe I am and I don't realize it; I know one of our tour guides got confused by us having more than one camera - "I thought your camera was blue?" - and our family laughed when we told them how many cameras we used]

And Helen received a Panasonic DMC-SZ1 for her birthday. I now appear in some of our holiday photos, where previously I was always behind the camera.
