Hi family Braun, first of all I am sure you will enjoy the Quetzal hotel...we stayed at the sister hotel Tucan last year...it was our first trip to Mexico ..so we are no experts on the area...but first of all the hotel rooms do have a wireless keyboards....and also an internet cafe in the hotel foya... not sure about cars etc...but there is great shopping on 5th avenue..lots of designer outlets too...and only 10 mins in a cab for about 50 pesos very reasonable! there are lots of restaurants and bars everything you could want......Cancun is about an hour from hotel.......as for snorkelling you are better off going on a trip ..there is a big choice where to go...the beaches are not very good for that really..just for swimming and water sports. hope I have been of some help..maybe someone else will give you more info...enjoy your holiday
