I agree, good move. Having 5th walking only all the way to 46th can only help the flow of pedestrian traffic through the area. That's (historically) not a good stretch to walk as the sidewalks are quite narrow, I can imagine the businesses along there have felt somewhat left out. It will be great for future development.

Crap! Does this mean that I can no longer get to yoga at Kool in the mornings by driving to 34th and 5th, hopping onto 5th for a block, and then turning onto 1st to get to 28th? I park right on 28th.

Or wait. It's only from 4 PM - 2AM?

During the "blockade" hours, it surely will increase vechicular traffic on AV. 10 and maybe AV. 30 as they are the only roads with north/south driving lanes. AV. 1 is two way traffic but only from calle 10 to calle 32.
I am sure that many of you can remember when you would trek ALL OF THE WAY north to Constituyentes before turning back south and heading "back to Playa" .

There is at least one condo on 5th in that area that has access to their parking off of 5th . No other way to get there from what I have seen.

I can't really make heads or tails out of that obvious computer translation, myself. What does it say (in real English or in Spanish)?
