Last day, looking for some things!

Hi all,

Today is our last full day in Playa and I am looking to buy a few things. I couldn't find info via search so maybe one of you can help me out. I would like to buy some local/ hand made art, maybe glass, or small drawings, or dolls. I'm not seeing glass or small drawings on 5th that don't look mass produced can any one point me in the right direction? I am also looking for good quality dolls, I got a cute, well made pelican in Tulum centro but I don't want to go back that way just for one thing. I also wanted a hammock because mine from Costa was stolen off my front porch but I know there is a thread for that! However if there is a place with in walking distance from the municipal building please let me know!

Thanks!

Check out the shops on Calle Corazon, which is a winding road off 5th, between 12 and 14.

The stores on Calle Corazon are filled with handmade arts and crafts, one even has some Papel Picado(it's hiding on the bottom shelf of a cart by the counter). This is my favorite little street on PDC, sadly get your purchases quickly since these stores will probably be gone by your next trip.

Hammock shop on 30th Avenue at 52nd Street. Made there in the shop, good prices, cool colors. We just bought two new for our rooftop palapa, a deep blue and a deep green. Beautiful.

One end of Calle Corazon is on 5th Ave between Calle 12 & 14 and the other end is off of Calle 14 between 5th & 10th Ave. If you have the place names on on Google it labels John Gray's Place and Diamonds International right by it. P.S. It's covered in trees

RE: Hammock store on AV. 30 just north of calle 52, east side of the street.
This is where the local Mexicans usually buy their hammocks. In fact I am heading there today to get a new hammock. It is not a "tourist ripoff" place.
