HI! I'm back...I hope y'all will forgive me for never finishing this report. 2013 was...not exactly a good year for our family. But, this trip was the highlight and I felt compelled to finish it's story (plus this weather in Houston today is HORRENDOUS! making me wish for warmer locals)

So I hope you'll stay tuned as I try to unfog my brain and tell this wonderful, amazing story with a wonderful and very patient Husband.

Cozumel Continued

So after the boat and the race to the potty Momma needs a drink to calm herself and I found the place with the best bartender for JD & DC.



Seriously uset I did not get his name but all of a sudden I realized something...I had a STRAW!!!! "Husband why haven't I been asking for straws at GPR?"

*Sidenote: I have really sensitive teeth so I ALWAYS drink cold stuff with a straw. I didn't bring my sensitive toothpaste with me because travel size, so that's why this becomes an issue.

So we enjoyed a couple drinks at the Hard Rock but I wanted to explore and off we went. We wandered some side streets just looking at shops and getting the normal calls until we met Husband's new friend (that we don't know his name) and he has Cuban cigars Seriously this made Husband so happy. So while they haggled price I jewelry shopped, but nothing caught my eye. They started at $90USD a box and agreed on $150USD for 2 boxes. I don't know if he got a good deal but he was happy, and that was all that mattered. Now give Momma a beer!

We found Cafe Dennis as we wandered and I liked it. It just felt fun.





So we had a couple beers there and we were off again. I don't know where or how we found Mr. Chile but we did...





None of those are mine btw...



After a few beers I saw this...



Going to spend $$$$ be back later! I bought a purse and a wrap and something else for $35USD. I still carry that purse here at home and wore that wrap all summer to the beach so they were investments Husband!

More drinks at Mr. Chile and then we saw this...



SO OF COURSE I HAVE TO DO IT TOO!!!

MY KIND OF PLACE!!!





There was a cruise ship in town with these hilarious women celebrating a 50th bday and they were having a blast! Somehow I ended up having a blast with them. Thankfully my Husband didn't realize I left the camera sitting with him or my booty shaking would be viral.

So I think we finally decided around 3pm to head back (truthfully I never know what the real time is in Mexico) and luckily the rain had stopped.

I can't wait to go back and eat at Hooter's for the record.



I made it safely back on the boat and almost kissed the pier when I got off.



We walked the beach back and it was really nice.







Got back to the room to find this...



AND THIS!!!!



Broke that open and sat on the balcony for an amazing sunet and night view to Cozumel. We then ate dinner at Maria's where I ran into an old friend from the RPDC.







Seriously? I met that cat at RPDC in front of Asiana in 2010!



So obviously I was happy to see him again, and I fed him some of my din din. SSSSH! I wasn't going to eat it all anyway! It was good but just too much and too heavy. This is why I don't do AI Husband

Got back up to the room and called my baby boy Johhny the cat to tell him Mommy loves him. He yelled at me to get my butt back to Texas and I told him soon. More drinks on the balcony and we turned in by 11.

I'm pretty sure that's the sweet male cat that we trapped and a volunteer from CoCos took to get neutered in 2011. He hangs out at Pelicanos with a dark torti female and another, thinner build male (who is the son of the female). We used to go to Wallyworld and buy food and feed each of them every night. I do miss that part of our stays at the Royal.

Day What?

Wake up to another fantastic day in paradise and I know I'll never get tired of this view!



We had breakfast at Albatross again - extra mimosa today because screaming kids.

I wanted to get on the computer but you have to pay for each minute See ya never bye. There are enough places in town I can find free wifi.

So this morning for our walk we're going North on 5th. I want to show him La Cueva del Chango because LOVE LOVE LOVE. I took tons and tons of pictures on the walk and we had so much fun. But the best THE BEST line I think I've ever heard "you look tired Senor - to much coochicoochi???" That man wins - give him the medal AND the trophy!

I just like taking pics of stuff...

Ok so mostly pictures of bars I want to remember to go drinking at it's fine.



I wanted to remember in case I convince Husband to move here.

The new mall (that is now open) that I stopped and stared at in the road for a solid minute.

At this point it's back to the reservation...I mean GPR for some suncatching and drinks on the beach.

Made a couple drinks in the room first, walk out onto the patio and BOOM!




I have no explanation. But if I had to see it y'all do too!

So they were setting up for a wedding and it was really pissing me off that they were picking up chairs and blocking sections of the beach! I don't want to rant because I did enough that day, but this is the catalyst for the title so here it goes:

I'm stuck on a reservation, I'm listening to screaming children as I enjoy my mimosa, I haven't even gone near the pool, there is better food in town (and cheaper), I can make a better JD & DC than ANY of these bartenders (I think they mix it with cheap stuff to keep the cost low), now you're taking part of my beach away? And then when I go downstairs to ask for a straw because my teeth are KILLING me YOU DON'T HAVE ANY STRAWS IN THE ENTIRE PLACE??????

Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. I didn't know I had to bring my own. Husband promises to buy me some in town and convinces me to go do some people watching on the beach. I relent because I am in paradise and it was a gorgeous, write home to mom kind of day.











We go upstairs to get ready for dinner at Il Pescatore which I had on my previous trip to the RPDC so I knew I liked it.

I had to get these shots first of the wedding setup...I mean the colors...





Dinner was again too heavy so I didn't eat much. Plus I was saving room for the yummy drinks on our own personal bar hop for tonight!

We set off down 1st heading South - I wanted to go see the the fire show at Fusion. I ran into another old friend from years ago, Chincho. I hollered his name and his little head whipped around! I don't know if he was the same one but it was close. The young man holding him told me to pay or go away. I said something to him I can't repeat but he heard it.

Right near him was the little tiger and jaguar again and the little tiger was so tired it wouldn't even stand up on it's own I was seriously plotting my kittynapping of them.

We got to Fusion and for some reason there was no fire show that night - I didn't write down why so who knows. Saw this cute little place up the way and decided to stop for a drink at Vista al Mar.



STRAW!!!





Made more kitty friends because that's what I do.

So before I could try to take one of those home as a souvenir Husband says vamos! Hasta pronto. More hopping!

I think we stopped somewhere on 5th before making our way to the Dirty Martini. YAY!





By the way love the expansion of the outdoor area DM! So, either I'm getting old or those clubs are REALLY loud. I can not imagine going into one of them. I'll stick with the little quiet bars.

So we drank and then drank some more watching the night life unfold in front of DM. I don't know how long we stayed but I know I was feeling the alcohol so we strolled through the noise back to the reservation. People watching was fun though.

I don't know what it means now, but I wrote myself this note:

"Agua before bed is always best!"

Did I forget to drink water and have a hangover the next day? Or did I remember to drink water and NO hangover the next day? The world will never know.

Thanks! Just sorry it took so long. But I'm missing PDC and this was the best way to get a fix.

I'll remember that when we go back with our friends in November. I usually just order beer at most places. The mojito I had at Vista al Mar was pretty delish too.

AWWW. I'm so glad to know he was taken care of. He's so sweet. When I go back I'm going to have to take him some food.
