Ranger, I am staying 5 weeks this year for the first time. Most we've stayed is 2 weeks. So I will see how this goes. If all goes well, maybe 3 months next time.

The beach/water has been cleaner/clearer for a few days because there was a shift in the direction of the wind. Instead of blowing from and easterly direction it was blowing from a westerly direction. Much of the sargassum is now on the beaches and waters of Cozumel currently according to my sources.
Worst thing is the Cozumel triathlon is this weekend and in the swimming portion the athletes will have to contend with the sargassum .
Like I have said, the sargassum is a day to day event depending on the wind direction and the current.
