I am still trying to figure out WHY Kim Davis was allowed to not issue a marriage license to a gay couple. Perhaps you could explain that to me.
So which is it? Which are you supporting?

Just asked a question. You brought up the subject. I merely asked if it was okay for the bakery to do what they did concerning the cake just because a couple was gay. I know that business can refuse service for improper attire, such as no shirt, no shoes, no service. Or Coat and tie required. Or no T-shirts etc. in the dress code.

no. Why would an intolerant shop owner be considered as exemplary of a political inclination focused on social justice?

Quite the contrary.

I guess some are upset by the Pope's revision of The Lord's Prayer, but I think he has a point.

[quote]
In a new television interview, Pope Francis said the common rendering of one line in the prayer — “lead us not into temptation” — was “not a good translation” from ancient texts. “Do not let us fall into temptation,” he suggested, might be better because God does not lead people into temptation; Satan does.

Wow - that makes perfect sense, doesn't it.... never thought of it, then again, I'm not a church-goer, so I don't say the Lord's Prayer that often....

I've always wondered about that one, too.

It does to me. I think that the controversy is for two reasons: many already think that this Pope is too much of a reformer; and, this is a prayer usually learned in childhood. Even non-churchgoers can probably recite it from memory, so messing with it feels wrong to some people.

It makes sense from a scriptural perspective, and probably from a translation one, too.

There are hockey teams named for animals like penguins, ducks, coyotes, panthers, bruins, and senators, but there is no hockey team named 'bulls' - there is, however, a basketball team named 'bulls'. So, 'bull baskets'?
