Romantic spa/massage location

My husband and I (plus another couple), will be staying at the Barcelo 04/24-04/28. Since we're going with another couple, I wanted to do something romantic just my husband and I. I would love to surprise him with a romantic massage overlooking the Caribbean (not in a Spa room). Any suggestions?

There is a resort and spa called Maroma which is located about 20 minutes or so north of Playa del Carmen. You can check out there web site at http://www.maromahotel.com/. They offer spa treatments in private beach palapas. The link to their spa stuff is at http://www.maromahotel.com/web/ocan/...troduction.jsp. You can then click on "Treatments" to see what they offer.

I have read on this forum of people that did not stay at the resort but used the spa services. You should be able to search for the word Maroma and find the threads that talk about the spa.

Pam and I have booked a couple of nights at Maroma in June and plan on doing the spa thing.
