I got home & the 1st thing I did was turn the Real Resorts webcam on (can you say EXCITED) and noticed some of the guys scrambling around...it looked like they were rushing to get stuff out of the rain. I hope that your last 2 days there are still great!!!
It's raining like crazy. Fine with us. Curled up watching TV waiting for room service.

Spent the day today shopping and ducking into restaurants during the showers! Had a blast!

One of our most memorable days on our honeymoon was the day it rained almost 6+ hours. At first we were bummed then we quickly realized we needed to make the most of it. When the rest of the resort seemed to go to their rooms we went to the lobby bar and had the most incredible unplanned tequila tasting ever. With a little bit of liquid courage in us we went shopping and splurged on a piece of art to remember the honeymoon by. Unfortunately for me I'm very clumsy and ended up falling & breaking the statue just before we made it back. We still have the broken statue displayed on our entertainment center, we chuckle every time we think about it.

That sounds fun!

We leave on Thursday and want to stay longer. We have had such a great trip! Can't wait to come back!

I totally understand that sentiment. It feels a little better if you make solid plans for your next trip at the time you leave....

The underwater photo of you and your hubs made me smile! I told my husband that seeing other people feeling so happy really makes me happy, and he told me I was a weirdo. What a grump

Monday 06.17.13

Again, a day that some may not find interesting. It’s super cloudy today, the forcast is for 80% rain. Sounds like a shopping day to me!

Had breakfast at Spice. We went around 9:00 a.m. and that is super late for us. It was packed. Note to self, don’t wait that long again. Headed in to town after finding out that our new friends the Wolff’s would not be joining us again today. Lee is still feeling under the weather. The hotel provided her a Dr. at no charge who prescribed her some antibiotics. Said it could be viral or bacterial (WOW, I could have figured that out), whatever hit her and her one son, it hit them hard. Her husband and other son are fine. Same with my Husband. He was down for a day, but I’ve been fine. I’m telling you, not enough straight tequila ☺

Headed off to “town”. From Constituyentes, we headed up 5th to the north. Strolled along the shops and restaurants and eventually turned around and headed back down south 5th. After poking around in some shops, we made it down to Magic Hands. Made an appointment for 12:00 massages. We had just over an hour to wait and it looked like it was going to rain any moment, so we hit Carboncitos for a Margarita and some salsa. It did indeed poor. For all of 10 minutes.

Hit up Magic Hands at noon and had another wonderful massage from Jorge. Felt even better than the last one.

We continued on our shopping adventure stopping to buy a leather pouch for my husband’s iPad, 4 t-shirts and my much sought after Mexican pottery. Bought a small bowl for salsa and a handled dish for chips. I totally forgot to take pictures and it’s wrapped up for shipping so that’s the picture you get ☺

I still have some shopping to do, on the list are some unique shot glasses, some trinkets for the grandkids and, tequila. I have two full days left and will shop till I drop since the weather is to continue cloudy.

The guys on 5th were a trip today. I’ve had more “friends” and “waiters” from The Royal “remember” me that it’s getting old. Did have a new one today: “Hey, I’ll sell you more of the same sh$t for less money here!” I turned around and laughed at him. Told him that was one of the best I’ve heard, he laughed and we moved on.

Was getting a little warm so we stopped somewhere to grab a margarita. 2 for 1 at Mi Pueblo (first place we came to). They were good. Decided to also have a “snack” so I ordered a bowl of Tortilla soup. Wow was it good!

Hit up Walmart to grab some peanut butter for Lee (yes, peanut butter). Guess you can’t get good creamy peanut butter in England.

Took a cab back to The Royal from Walmart. Husband’s leg was bothering him. Cab was $50 pesos.

We were exhausted and it looked like rain, so we ordered room service for dinner.

It did indeed rain:

Husband had the club sandwich and I had the filet again. Watched a movie and headed off to bed. Again, another fun day.

Turn down art:

Housekeeping art in the a.m.:

My Dad's company make the glass for these bottles:

Tequila shopping:

Hacienda Tequila:

We decided to buy a jellyfish lamp from this gentleman. He was quite the craftsman. Took the pics to remind me where the shop was. just up the side street where Burger King is. Spoiler alert: We didn't buy. Tried to and he was closed the day and time we stopped by. Good thing because we had no more room in the luggage:

We bought our jellyfish lamp from that shop, he has the best quality we could find. He was a good low pressure sales person and jellyfish artist.

Agreed. Will have to make a special spot in the carryon for one next year. Just wasn't in the cards this year . I really wanted one for my gazebo!

You can (or could have) just carry it on, not pack it in your carry on. That's what I did. Kept it in the bag they gave it to me in and hand carried it.
