I would have done that if I hadn't already had my "2" carryon bags... My camera equipment and my carryon "luggage bag

Great travel report!

Thanks for the wonderful review of your trip with all the pics...looks like you had an AMAZING time! :o) My hubby is prone to stomach stuff and it's good to know that the Immodium helped your husband feel better. Mine got sick our last trip to Mexico and we didn't have any so this time we're bringing a big bottle. lol

One question I have is how did you store your Canon DSLR? Did you leave it in your room? I would love to bring mine but am worried it will be stolen.

We left everything in our room and nothing was touched; laptop, iPads, lenses etc. I did put it in the safe the first day. There was plenty of room.

For sure! I doubt I'll be doing much of it while I'm there but I've already started some of my pre-trip report. I'm semi-obsessed with shopping for vacation clothes, etc. so I thought it might be fun to share in some of that obsession. I just hope I can get my pictures to come out as nicely as yours and Pams! I'm taking my T2i down there...now I just need to learn how to use it better.

It will be fine. Honestly, a large portion of what I used for the trip report were from the iphone.

I did find it much easier to do the report while I was there. Every night before I went to sleep, while the hubby was snoring off too much "indulgence", I went through photos and wrote up the narrative. Finally got in the grove by day three.

Kelli, I used photo bucket for my pictures; it was nice because it gives you a spot to click to grab the URL Much easier than hosting myself.

This back to back trips has done a number on us. Just returned today at 2:30 p.m. from 9 days in SoCal, home for 24 hours and off for 7 days in Denver.

I promise I'll get to it.

Sounds hectic...you'll need a vacation from your vacations lol. Thanks for the tips about photobucket, I was thinking about what might be the best option. My only problem with your planks that I always fall asleep 1st & quickly if I drink so we shall see

Tuesday 06.18.2013

Another questionable weather day. That’s ok, we want to go into town again and explore, shop and taste tequila.

Had breakfast again at Spice. Little Jeronimo has us hooked. What a little sweetheart! Made my own tacos from beef stew type of stuff and of course, had Chilaquiles again. I’m going to turn into a plate of Chilaquiles if I’m not careful. Oh what the heck, I’m on vacation right?

Made a stop at Hacienda Tequila just to refresh my memory on what they had. Found, tasted and actually fell in love with Cava de Oro Extra Anejo. We tasted a few.

Only found one other I liked more than this one; can’t remember the name but it was found at Tequila Town for $189 US per bottle. A little out of my price range so we stuck with what we liked that was within the budget.

Our purchase:

Misc. town pictures:

I’m sorry y’all, it’s probably not a very exciting day for those “watching over my sholder”…We shopped, and haggled, repeat. I was dying of thirst and the first place we came to was 100% Natural. I was DYING for some iced tea. The “tea” was delivered in an interesting manner. Effective, but nonetheless interesting. A mug, with ice and hot tea in a pot. Hey, it worked!

We headed back to Pelicano’s for some lunch. I had the breaded shrimp and some shrimp “ceviche”. The other day when we had shrimp ceviche, it was real ceviche…this was pretty much boiled shrimp with some pico de gallo. Hey, I love shrimp, it worked. Oh, almost forgot a taco el pastor that we had just to say we had one form the taco bar. Forgot a picture…geez, I’m slacking.

Taco Bar:

After lunch we lounged at the pool for about an hour. Due to the cloudy nature of the day, the pool was freezing. We hoofed it back up to the room and took a quick nap. We had dinner reservations at Il Pescatori.

Hubby pretending he is weightless:

So we were torn on eating over at Il Pescatori. We live in PA and we have awesome Italian food, not to mention, I’m a bangin’ Italian cook. I make my own pasta and everything! But hey, life is an adventure right? We walked in and the atmosphere is “ok”. Kind of feels like a cafeteria for some reason. I think it’s the open kitchen so close to the tables. The restaurant isn’t as large as I thought it was. We were eating inside because it was really humid. We were seated at our table right in front of the wine cabinets. To the right of our table, there were 3 tables of about 20 young “adults” having a HUGE time. OK, when you can not hear the waiter 1 foot from you nor your husband across the table, they are being too loud. We’re talking toasts, drunken outbursts and super loud talking and laughing. I’m all about having a good time but come on, it’s dinner. This behavior belonged at a bar. Not a “fine dining” restaurant. We said something to the maitre d and he and ALL of the wait staff were befuddled. They called the general manager who was going to come and speak to the group. He came and the talking to did nothing. In fact it got worse. They started saying things like “they can’t tell us what to do” etc. Guess the management then called the person in charge of the group. She was this prissy type of woman with pursed lips that, when asked if she could have the group keep it down a bit, she said “I’m not sure what I can do”. We kept trying to leave and the poor restaurant staff were mortified that they were unable to satisfy us. We tried to stick it out, but finally said, this was not relaxing…we’re outta here. We left and had to decide what to do about dinner. Asiana was out..we’ve eaten there twice already. We stopped at the concierge desk on the way back into the hotel and explained what happened and asked if they could get us into Maria Maria. He called and they got us right in, no problem.

Dinner there was very good as usual. We each had shrimp, mine was a steamed shrimp and Husband had a battered coconut type shrimp. Good stuff. Crème Brule for dessert and I was a happy camper.

Exhausted, we retired to our room to lay around like lumps on a log and watch TV.

Turn down for tonight:

This is the shop where I bought my pottery. Bought from him 3 years ago so, good price or not, I decided to make a repeat purchase. Ended up being a very enjoyable purchase:
