Rye Bread!

OK, where on earth would you buy rye bread in Playa? Seems such a simple request. Oh for a Superama here!

I saw pics of an awesome looking rye made by The Grumpy Bakers. I think they have a facebook page.

Wow!! Sometimes I am still surprised by what I learn on this forum! Great Facebook page, Rick and Sue....nice photos...and of course, the PERFECT name for your business. ( I mean that in the nicest possible way, of course...)

Good luck!

I just brought back a loaf of Jewish Rye from the states, among 25 other food items. Got the green light, woo hoo!

Rye bread is our favorite. We will have to buy some from the Grumpy Bakers in Feb. How do we go about doing so?

I love rye bread, but I avoid farinaceous foods due to Type 2 diabetes.

But you (i.e. We ), still need carbs, no?

because of BMI - 6'1", 170, no family history, completely asymptomatic.

Nor hardly any carbs - about 40 grams a day or so, most days

Wow. That is impressive indeed.

I cut way back, not that far, but far, and lost too much weight, as days are generally spent doing mostly blue collar type work.

Guess I'm not willing to work any harder at it, (which may bite me later), but am satisfied with my numbers --- 100 - 150 glucose, (past due for a1c) , with 500mg Metformin 2 x day.
