You just think it's meat. Frankly, it's something they threw in when they were thinking about meat, or maybe looking at a picture of some meat. And as for escargot...why anybody who would actually eat escargot, would eat anything....like snails, or something equally as disgusting.

This whole Dallas thing is turning into a real downer for the ol' Bumper, mostly because Mrs. Bumper and I won't be there. (I asked her, by the way, if she wanted to be known as "Bumperette" in future. She muttered something about the front of a '58 Pontiac, and gave me a smack. Hopefully, the mark will disappear quicker than my sunburn. She's not real big, but she still packs a wallop. There will be no further discussion on the subject.) We're bothgreen with envy, and consumed with jealousy, and covetousness. Not only because of the party we won't be there to share in, but because of the musicianship we'll be missing. I think you're all in for a memorable experience. I would hope we can count on vast volumes of trip reports and pics. Don't forget to take the usual precautions ie: sewing address labels into your clothing, putting the same information on your hide in Sharpy marker, leaving a trail of beer bottle caps back to Tyra's place, and getting a bail fund started. Enjoy!!

Hey Squish,

We do not have our tickets yet. I dont know that they will sell out the Cotton Bowl. But we are talking about checking it out. If I could make a suggestion for anyone of the Guys and Gals who are coming to Dallas from the Forum Is see what the chances are of flying in to Dallas Love Field instead of DFW. Its alot closer to evrything. Also I could be available for picking some people up since we live 10 minutes from Love field. Help save on some Taxi fares.
Does everyone know where they are going to stay? What part of Town? How long.

Waikiki celebrates one of the island's favorite foods

Saw this on msnbc - their Arthur Frommer's site is a great travel resource...I subscribe to Frommer's Budget Travel mag - I recommend it. Mostly.

Come celebrate the world’s largest SPAM event (the mysterious luncheon meat, not the contents of your email box) in Hawaii this April....

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4655172/

SPAM. Just the word is enough to make some people nauseous. But in Hawaii, it’s one of the islands’ celebrated delicacies, and is proudly found in a number of local dishes. In fact, Hawaii is the number one consumer of the enigmatic canned meat in the U.S. Introduced in 1937 by Hormel Foods, more SPAM is consumed per capita in Hawaii than any other state in the U.S. More than 6.9 million cans of SPAM are consumed in Hawaii each year, making the Aloha State the unofficial SPAM capital of the U.S...(click link for rest of article)

There is a spam sculpture contest in Seattle each year. Tom ******* is usually the judge. If you do not know who Tom is, google him and read all his books (for a good time).

Somebody hijacked this thread! James will put us in the food forum if you carry on like this!

I entered a contest at my local music store to win tickets to the Clapton event. So .... maybe?
I love this guy:

It amuses me when these threads get so off topic.... But, when I think back, I often times am the reason they go off topic.... So, I guess one could say that I amuse myself....

Now, back to the subject..... Squishy, I spoke with my wife about the P2D2 concert coming up, and we are both "in". As soon as we purchase our tickets, I will get in touch and maybe we can join the rest of the Playa-Peeps at the show.... I wonder if I can talk Eric Clapton into letting Bucky and I do a lil' sing-a-long on stage?...

O-Tay!!

Maybe? Maybe you can join the rest of the Playa Peeps??? You ARE a peep man... (unless of course you find that highly offensive in some warped sense).
