Kinda a drag though, noticed on our tickets that "Field Seating" has assigned seat numbers... I thought it meant sit your ass on the field general admission... then I remembered why I stopped going to Dallas for concerts... cause they always line up chairs on the floor area so everyone has something to stand on

No WAY! Assigned seats? So we aren't sitting together? My, that just sucks! I guess I didn't look at my tickets closely enough. And just how the hell are we going to have a party when we are all spread over hell and back? I thought it was general admission too.

Is he on tour right now.
I've been to about 4 Dave Matthews concerts and they put on one hell of a show. That sounds like a plan. I'll check out there website for that concert.

SPAM. Just the word is enough to make some people nauseous. But in Hawaii, it’s one of the islands’ celebrated delicacies, and is proudly found in a number of local dishes. In fact, Hawaii is the number one consumer of the enigmatic canned meat in the U.S. Introduced in 1937 by Hormel Foods, more SPAM is consumed per capita in Hawaii than any other state in the U.S. More than 6.9 million cans of SPAM are consumed in Hawaii each year, making the Aloha State the unofficial SPAM capital of the U.S...(click link for rest of article)

Any chance the seat numbers are just a method to keep track of the number of tickets sold? We've been to events with general admission tickets where the seat numbers didn't mean anything. Any way to find out?

I'm hoping you are correct on that, I'll see what I can dig up... got a college bud who is a wanna be Hollywood liberal/movie director in Dallas and since he always knows everything about everything ( except the fact that there is a huge concert event June 6th), we should be able to figure this out.

Assigned field seating blows!!!!

Let's compare ticket info... ours say Row; GA3 Seats: 836 & 837... hopefully that does stand for General admission and the seat number means we got the 836th/837th tickets sold

Seating

Well, there are the tickets for me, Squish, Denise and Keith (they were not purchased at the same time). Beats me what the Row/Box, Seat designations are. You don't really think their gonna put folding chairs out? How silly would that be.....picture this....the P2D2 gang talks everyone into folding up their stupid chair and stacking them neatly to the side of the field.

I did call Ticketmaster before purchasing the tickets to ask about their seating designation. Since all tickets were the same price, I was curious why they would sell "General Admission" and "Field" tickets. I was told that GA was for the seats that were not reserved. The Field tickets were for down, exactly where you'd expect, on the field. I know this doesn't have anything to do with chairs on the field, but I thought I'd throw it in.

Scott (insert whiny high pitched squeal) do we HAVE to be polite about it? Seriously though, I figure we can work out a 'common ground' once we compare all of our 'seats'. Keep the faith!

OK, here's something interesting about this whole assigned seat debacle. I just bought tickets to John Mayer (with Maroon 5!) for my hubby for his birthday. It's at Starplex... er... Smirnoff. I just printed my tickets, and lo and behold, they have a section and seat number. Now I know damn well that the lawn seats at Star... er Smirnoff do not have seats. So maybe Crossroads doesn't either and this is just some way they have of controlling the number of lawn seats they have? Any ideas? I wonder who we could call to find out!

Well, I just called Ticketmaster again, but they weren't much help. They said it depends on the venue... sometimes they put out chairs, sometimes they don't. She did think my inventory control idea was probably correct. And she thought since they were selling/describing them as General Admission, that it was doubtful they would have reserved seating. So we can hope!
