Iberostar Resorts or Where else?
My fiancee and I are planning on getting married somewhere in PDC area and looking for everyone's opinion on which is the best AI resort for a wedding. Is it the RUI resorts? Is it Iberostar Resorts? If Iberostar, which one? Tucan? Paraiso Beach? Paraiso Lindo? Etc...We plan on doing the wedding during the month of May. Would luv to get everyone's insight. We have been to PDC and stayed there for nearly 2 weeks bouncing from 2 nites in Cancun to 3 nites in Tulum then Cozomel but mostly PDC. All thoughts and ideas about which AI resort is the best would be appreciated, thanks!

Just my opinion. But, when we went to Xpu-Ha Last New Years week for a day trip. I found it to be very beautiful. The beach was pretty and the ocean view was awesome. Also I think they had a gazebo/Grass hut on the Reef/ Lagoon area that looked like a great place for a wedding. The resort is very pretty. But it may be too rustic for your taste's. may want to check out pictures.

There have been several posts on this board which discussed getting married at the Iberostar Tucan. There is even a member whose name is "Tucan Bride". They seem to really like the wedding planner there. If you use the search function and search for "Iberostar wedding" I think you will find some helpful info. I wish I knew how to link you to a thread because there is a recent one where the bride did a wedding report. Anyway, I imagine you could substitute RIU for Iberostar in a search and find info on getting married there also. Hope this helps!

Myself and a group of friends have been at the the IB* Tucan in Nov. 2003. There was a BEAUTIFUL wedding there at that time. They continued the party into the evening entertainment and then onto the Disco. They were having a really great time and so were the guests (not part of the wedding party) having a wonderful time enjoying the festivities. The staff and food is wonderful. If you need more info, contact the hotel for wedding details. GOOD LUCK!
