Construction at Lindo??

Hello. I have just booked a trip for my family (hubby, myself & 2 children) to the Lindo. I have heard on another board that there is construction going on at the Lindo. Has anyone else heard this? Has anyone recently returned & noticed construction?

I would be very upset to be sitting at the pool & hear noise from construction.

Thanks!
Jenn

I have not yet been to the Lindo, but here is my opinion. They just opened the beach bar on the Lindo side so that could have been part of the construction. The other thing it could be is work on the Maya next door. It is slated to open late summer, early fall. From pictures it appears most outside work is done. They have the windows boarded so you can't see or hear the work going on inside. From the posts I have read the Maya construction appears to be a non-issue. Hope this helps!

I also heard that constuction is going on, although the person who gave the review said you could hardly notice. I take the sound is a non-issue. Heading to the Lindo myself for my honeymoon mid May.

Thanks so much to both of you! I feel a lot better. I was getting nervous for awhile.

I am heading down in 16 days! I will report back, but the tens and tens of trip reports I have read, have either no mention of construction, or have stated the amazement at no noise or not even a bother at it. So, according to what I have read, I have absolutley no concerns. Like I said though, i will be sure to report back on this.
