Kind of new in Playa and looking for more taquerias

Hello,

I am a Brit with dodgy Spanish, and I have been in Playa since October 13 working on a local project.

I have, perhaps unwisely, told my local partners that I would have visited more taquerias in town than they have by the time I get on my flight back to England.

If there are any others who do this sort thing regularly or have suggestions for any hidden gems I would love to hear from you.

Cheers

Walk up Juarez towards the highway. There is a taqueria on the right between 40 & 45. Fairly large with a table set up out front with big bowls of "condiments" (salsas, pico de gallo, etc). Good, cheap tacos.

Walk up calle 6 from avenida 10 towards avenida 15. On your left is a blue building with stairs & a handwritten menu outside. Go in. Eat whatever your heart desires....off the menu or what you see in the pots on the counter. You will not regret it. They don't speak any English. No matter. You'll figure it out and so will they. (not a taqueria but kick ass food)

Enjoy!

Another new taco joint on avenida 10 between 6 & 8. Walked by tonight. Smelled awesome. Meats looked really good cooking! On my list to try.

Do NOT miss Carnitas Teresita on Calle 1 sur and Av. 20. They are open for breakfast and lunch and close around 4pm.

Tacos Gomez is another must on calle 2 between Av. 15 and 20. They open at about 4pm and stay open almost all night!

The now famous El Arbolito in Puerto Aventuras has opened up a small food truck/cart on Av. 45 and Constituyentes. I have not had time to stop by yet, but if their PA location is any indicator, it should be delicious!

One of my favorite spots for a taco is Sandra. It is on Calle 4 at 15th or 20th. It is on the north side of the street and is red. Love their tacos and Gringas.
