We made another visit to Club de la Cerveza. We’ve been sticking to the Mexican beers and they have quite a few of them on hand...

We made our only visit this year to Piola as well and the pizza was as good as we’d remembered.

We do not remember seeing this place on previous visits but surely it must be the smallest bar in Playa…two stools plus four more on the street…

Stopped in at Wah Wah for a bit to catch a Nasty Bastards set…wait staff was dancing on the bar…again…

After a while the days down here all kind of blend together…like mouse says everyday is Saturday…...sonofdob

Mmmmmmm, I LOVE that Bohemia Obscura (and just about any other dark beers); unfortunately they don't love me any more as I've discovered that dark beers give me a headache. I can't even drink amber beers. I have figured out that, thankfully, Sol is o.k.

Had a breakfast at La Cueva de Chango…always good. Chilaquiles are the best here as are the sweet crepes. Unfortunately Byron and I showed up wearing almost the same shirts…damn…

Spent some time at Yan and Ten…

More to come…...sonofdob

Smokin John…or Cowboy John...this guy is a bona fide Pit Master. He builds his own smokers…one for meat and the other for fish. They are made of plywood…never seen that before but man the results speak for themselves...

You can get John’s smoked meat at Wah Wah Beach Bar any day but Sundays he smokes a whole hog…not to be missed...

Thank you John for the tour of your pit…an all around good guy making some great food…...sonofdob

Playa meals. Always a big part of our Playa del Carmen experience is the food. There are so many great dining options here and like everyone we have our favourites...

El Fogon…there are three locations and all are good but the 30 ave location just has a special feel to it.

We had just ordered when a cab stops in front of our table and who should jump out ?

The portions here are generous and of course the Arrachera Nacional is second to none…which is what I ordered and yes they do refer to the accompanying beans as bean soup. Mouse had a vegetarian dish…the Faruba’s tacos el pastor…everyone had a beer.

Grilled chicken is available everywhere and many places do it very well…one that I liked was this spot on Calle 2 at 20 ave…half a bird with rice and extras was 60 pesos.

We managed to squeeze in another stop at Papacharly Pasta Factory or Util…twice a week is pretty standard for us…

Stopped by the Luna Blue for a bit…

Always entertaining…...sonofdob
