Last year we dined at Olivia's, Rolandi's, Pita Amore and Jaxes. They were all great places to eat. We also went to the village square at dinner time and had some awesome fish tacos from a vendor there, I think we only paid 10 pesos each. We had a cob salad at Jaxes that was large enough for both of us and very tasty.
We rented a golf cart for the day and toured the island. We came across Villa La Bella and got a few photos by their sign... Beer so cold it will make your teeth hurt. Also got a brain freeze from the ice cold margaritas we enjoyed. Drove to the south end of the island and got caught up in a tropical rain storm. Haha it would have been nice if we had a windshield 'cause that rain beats the hell outta your face. Now we know why the curbs in town are so high, the water flows like rivers and the curbs try and control it.
Ah 2 weeks to go before we are back on Isla...

Do yourself a favor. If you like shrimp or fish tacos go to Bally Hoo on the waterfront near the ferry and enjoy them (with tamarind sauce) and a marg or 2 for sunset.
Also the legendary margs at The Soggy Peso. Two (we had 3) and you are well on your way. You may want to take a cab, but it is a really cool island bar vibe.

Beautiful photos! Our family really needs to plan a trip to Isla. The beaches are still wide and not covered with Seaweed. Thank you for the great report.

Ya know, I really should. I love reading them. My trouble is noting what I did and when I did it. I am very impressed by the details many put into some of these TR's.

I 2nd both suggestions. I drank 5 Soggy Peso margaritas (maybe more, I lost count when people started buying rounds) It wasn't pretty.

I have trouble remembering too, so if you can take notes as it happens it is good, otherwise, one has to follow a sequence of photo's to get a handle on it. I'm going back to the notepad for next trip.
