Hello Everyone!

Hello guys, I am new here, and I am also "computer Challenged". I have been coming to the Riveria Maya for the past two summers and I am in love. I stopped in Cozumel for one day 20 years ago on my honeymoon and have wanted back ever since. I have been coming to Barceló amd am coming again in May. I am way ashamed to admit I haven't yet been to Playa Del Carmen. I don't want to go all inclusive any longer. My family has been to blame, but I am coming for a short Mother/Daughter/Granddaughter trip on May 30 and want to soak up some Playa Del Carmen while I am here. I am looking for advice for a newbie on how to spend the perfect day in town. Its my Birthday and my Moms, my daughter is just turned 18 and we three ladies wanna have some fun. Thanks!

Welcome! More than enough do make a day of it in town. Why don't you start by telling everyone what your like's are, and what would make a perfect day for (you)? That should help all of the good people of Playa.info come up with suggestions.

Thanks Uno, I really love to people watch. I want to walk the beach, then maybe stroll through parts of town then grab a bite and some drinks. I cant believe I haven't gone to town yet. My daughter has been dying to go in the evening, but I am an avid beach watcher and thought maybe early afternoon then see where it takes us.

I guess what I am really looking for is some place to go eat and drink with a nice vibe, we are a small group of three but want to celebrate, so would like a place that's happy, upbeat and fun.

Plenty of people watching on 5th. Touristy, but hey. We ARE tourist afterall. I am partial to Wah Wah beach club, day or night. I'm you get lots of other recommendations as well.

Thanks Uno. Yes I am a tourist for sure. Maybe after another dozen or so trips I can call myself something else, but for now tourist is a good fit. I like the name Wah wahs, it even sounds fun.

I like AI's, and being a tourist. But it's nice to get off the resort and go to town too.

Find a nice small place to stay. That's number 1. You can hang out on the beach during the day and WahWah is a great place to go for day time people watching. Is also a fun place at night and they have good food. Depends on what you like, if you like music there are a lot of places in the evening to o and hear really good live music. Just depends on what you like??

Love live music. Basically I do love Barcelo but it is really boring. Its the beach I go for. I have been dying to branch out. While I am there in May I am going into Playa to see the small resorts to pick for my next visit. Wah wahs sounds like fun so now its on my list of places to go to. As for the hotels, instead of bothering you all I am reading all of the existing threads. Just want to say hi and introduce myself before I lost my nerve
