Tennis Courts?

Does anyone have any info about tennis courts within Deportivo Mario Villanueva Madrid, on Av 10 @ c/30?

Are they open to the public?

What hours are the courts open? (I can't imagine playing on a sunny afternoon in June, so I'm wondering how late they might be open into the evening)

Is there a fee?

Are the courts busy?

Do you have to reserve court time or is it first-come-first-serve (aha, serve - did you like that?)

We will be in Playa for June with some teens who are beginners and would like to get some practice time in.

Since they are beginners, I should also ask: Does anyone have a lead on someone who would give them a few lessons?

Thanks in advance for any info!

The courts are open to the public. Not sure exact hours but at least as early as 7 am through late evening. And they are busy in the mornings and evenings.

You can reserve in advance. I think the cost is 50 pesos for an hour.

Annie they are open very early, I walked to my Spanish Class before 7 and sometimes there were people on the courts, most looked touristy not local. There were kids, maybe school when I would walk for lunch and then when heading home from dinner they had lights on and were open fairly late some nights.

They look to be nice courts there is also a handball court, walking/jogging track as well as drop in classes for exercise and dancing in the upper open like area at the entrance. It's a very busy place, I enjoyed walking through.

Thanks for the feedback! I walked up there the other day - the facility is really nice.

Unfortunately - for our trip - they are resurfacing the tennis courts (fortunately for the future :-) ). Looked like it was about done, but not in time for the girls.
