Hiya Virginia, Bet you cant wait to leave ! I know we cant. Have you ever been to this resort before? We have not. Been to Playacar many times, wanted to go somewhere different this time. Once we chartered a boat out of Playa Aventur., but we really didnt have any fun with them at all. It cost plenty too. I just bought Jeff a new folding fishing pole for his birthday, instead of taking his giant rod case, so he plans on fishing from the beach now, not that chartering a boat is out, just not sure. So where are you guys from, who is going, etc? We are from NE ohio, early 40's and are just looking foward to having some fun and chilling at the resort. Bringing our own snorkling stuff, so you can find me in the water most days, lol. I will write again later when I have a little more time. Thanks for response... Rose

Very excited
Hi Rose,
I just emailed you back a few minutes ago. We are leaving tomorrow for Houston, we live two hours away from the airport. We are from Louisiana, we love to travel and this is our second time going to the Mayan Riviera. The first time was two years ago for our Honeymoon. We stayed at the Royal Hideaway and we loved it. This time we decided to go for a smaller hotel with a fantastic beach. I heard that Club Maeva definitively has a nice coral reef. I am 28 and my husband is 36, we are looking to relax, take some nice excursions, snorkel a lot, probably dive and go shopping. We visited most of the Mayan Ruins the last time so this trip is going to be all about aquatic sports and relaxation. We enjoy fine dining and good music. It looks like Club Maeva has both, the buffet changes every night, they have theme nights. Maybe we will want to go downtown Tulum and Playa Del Carmen one evening but I don't know anything about the shuttle situation. You will find us on the beach or by the pool with a good book if we are not exploring the area. It is only going to be Kevin and I, we don't have any children but are leaving our two little dogs behind (two pugs). If you want to contact us, please refer to the email I sent you. We hope to see you guys there! Any last minute tips? Thanks! Virginia and Kevin. |
