Sorry you had a bad experience with Luis at lomas, rosecohen. I booked a fishing trip with him, he was very helpful & kind. Miss EDM, beautiful place.

The Island. There are small fish between the shore & it that will get out of the way when you are walking & if you stand still they will gather around you. Very kool. There are also small white birds that live on the island that will dive bomb you as you walk on the island. Not to worry they will stay about 4 feet from you. Beautiful Place.

Thanks for posting that, the island looks fun! Is it shallow enough to get out there for someone who's deathly afraid of drowning?

The fish don't bother me, only currents and/or rip tides.

Yes, it is about waist high in some places. If you walk to it stay to the right, it will be shallower. Walk slow bc the moving currents have made the sand uneven. My wife & I first walked out to it alot tipsy & both bust our butt.

We live in the piney woods of Northeast Texas & were surprised to see a pine tree on the beach in Mexico
