Guilty Monkey Cafe-Video

Heather Andersen sat down for a chat with Beatrice Hjelm, one of the owners of Guilty Monkey Cafe.
Guilty Monkey serves up tasty breakfasts and lunches with a Swedish twist.
This video is part of a new series that Heather and I will be filming together.

I was there last week and the guy at the counter said they were working on their dinner menu….hence staying open later….starting the next day likely!
Is this still happening do you know?

The sign said closed for renovations when we were there, but the CLOSED on Trip Advisor is pretty ominous.

yeah in july when i first got down it said it would be open towards end of july. The sign changed to say 'closed for renovations'….and i guess it still says that!

In the video when she said they came down for a vacation and then came back a few months later, my first thought was how did they do that legally? Can’t be easy to get legal status to run a business that quickly… I wonder if they had an immigration issue... lots of that going around these days… Too bad because I was definitely going to give it a try.

I should point out that its none of my business, just curious...

I don't think it was an immigration problem. I heard they sold alcohol without a permit. That is just what I heard from another business owner so it may or may not be true. Just keeping the rumor mill alive, I guess.
