One Item You Must Take to PDC

What's the one item you always make sure you have with you when you travel to PDC (other than sunscreen!)?

Mine is lip balm...

My Kindle pre-loaded with beach reads.

And chargers for that and my cell phone and iPad (for watching movies on the 5-6 hour plane ride). Forgot a charger once, PITA!

If you had of asked this question last week I would have said an umbrella for sure. But write down a plan of places you want to visit, even if it's just for food, drinks, music, arts, or dance, and take that with you. Most of our plans got rained out last week, but we still did some of them and had a great time.

I agree on the umbrella. If not I bring a light weight rain jacket that rolls into a little bag. It's not about being warm just staying dry and it's easier than carrying an umbrella. That way when the rain hits unexpected your good. Depending on the amount of your stay plan on at least a few showers. Also as far as cash I like 20's because some places are scared of hundreds. Make sure your bills don't have any tears either as they won't take em.

Beyond the basic necessities...iPod speakers. Must have for condo, balcony or rooftop drinking.

Bring a back-up source of money. One year my purse was stolen and my ATM card was in it, used by the thief, and I had to shut the account while i was there. I was then out of money except for cash I had on me. That was a downer for that trip.
I suggest getting a new ATM card, to be activated only for this trip, then cancel once you return home. Also, last year we had two cards issued, so that my husband had one and I had the other.

We tale 2 atm cards each from a different bank. Also we take on an index card the phone numbers for banks and credit card. Don't carry this, put it in sauce or drawer for a "just in case."

List of pass codes to pertinent online accounts.

Sucks to be there on your laptop and not be able to access your personal accounts that you thought you would remember the pass codes to, but now have forgotten...
