R.I.P. Rocky , Rocky was a great guy , friendly and had a lot of great stories to tell. Actually meet him the same day as Capt Dave, that was a great day in playa, now two playa icons with an insight to playa are gone.

I was so sad to hear the news. Rocky certainly was a fixture in Playa and he had lots of tales to tell. He would always say "like Janis said, get it while you can!" I will remind myself to live life to the fullest when I think of Rocky, RIP.

Edit, I had a little trouble trying to upload this Youtube video, but here Rocky and I were posing for a picture Harris was taking, at least we thought... (this was 6 years ago)

awww....68, far too young.

he certainly was a fixture in Playa, I remember seeing him our first or second trip, sitting shirtless at the Beer Bucket, and recognizing him from pics posted on this forum. RIP and condolences.

Had many a beers w/this man. Seems like every trip we were there he told me it was his birthday (and I always obliged by buying him a beer)!
He will be missed. RIP Rocky...

Well, ya know ole Rocky had a propensity to falling off bar stools - or his bicycle.
That could have contributed

Al, I am so sorry for the loss of a friend. It does give one peace to know that someone we care about died doing what they loved.

RIP Rocky

That is correct. He was 67 and not 68 as someone wrote earlier. At least at his last birthday party, he turned 67.

Arrived in Playa in 1987, so Rocky was in Playa 30 years not 20 as someone mentioned earlier???

Tough to go out so young but 30 yrs in paradise is still a nice run if you ask me.

Died doing what he liked best, riding his bike to the next bar.
