No reply from iberostar
Hello to all ,I would like to say what a mine of info this site is. After reading various tips I emailed My hotel Iberostar Paraiso Beach to request a room but I have not recieved an answer. Do they just leave it until I get there which is next Monday? Any one else going to be there when me & my hubby of 25 years will be there to celebrate.

Tappy, I think she is talking about a room request, not a reservation.
Daffodil, last year I e-mailed the Paraiso Beach a little more than a week before our arrival date, and I got an answer about 2 days later saying there were no guarantees but they'd try to honor our request. (They did!) Their response policy may have changed; some resorts don't reply to your e-mail but do their best to accommodate you anyway. I have also had replies as late as 5 days after my e-mail. It couldn't hurt to e-mail again (if you don't get a response within a reasonable time), in case your first e-mail didn't go through. Also, you will have another shot at requesting a certain type of room when you check in. Good luck! |

I stayed at the Paraiso Beach resort last week from April 9 - 16. I e-mailed them about 5 days prior to my arrival and received a response in 2 days saying they would do their best but make no guarantees.
I had requested a room close to the beach / pool. When I arrived they told me I was getting a free upgrade and got a junior suite in building 30, which is the closest building to the beach. It was a GREAT room. The only complaint I had about the resort, which isn't a big deal was the size of the resort. It is SOOOOOOO huge that you can really get lost and have a hard time finding other people in your group unless you set up a very specific meeting place (not just "at the pool"). The resort and the rooms were great (even the regular rooms which I got a chance to see were great). Have a wonderful trip - can't wait to return to the area - Iberostar Tucan in November, 2004 for my wedding!!! Sharon. |

e-mailing resort
When we visited the Riu Yucatan in Feb., I e-mailed them prior to our visit requesting a certain building. I didn't get a reply, but they did honor my request.
I wouldn't get too excited about not getting a reply. As others have said, they can't guarantee any certian room or building as it's based on what's available on the day you check in. If you don't get the room you wanted it still beats being at work for a week! |

This is what I have for the Tucan:
rrpptucque@iberostar.com.mx (and sorry, I left the .com out of the del Mar's above!) I don't have one for the Lindo yet but I'll take a look for it tonight. |

I'd definitely recommend the Mediterranean restaurant, La Dorada. Of the four "fancier" air-conditioned restaurants, the Japanese and Brazilian are fun, but not as romantic. The Mexican would be a good second choice, but I don't think its atmosphere was as romantic as the Mediterranean.

daffodil, Go to yahoo and insert iberostar and you will find their web site. In the upper left corner of their home page you will find the Lindo hit button. When you get to the Lindo home page youw ill find an icon for e-mailing the hotel. Have a great time!!!
