?Ceviche at Cannibal Royale & Best Cenote Close to Playa

Hi all.

I have a friend with me this coming trip. I searched out Ceviche and found a few older posts. I would love to find a great place to sit and have a Ceviche and Beer on the beach. I do love Zenzi, but any other ideas would be awesome, I may have heard along the way that Cannibal Royale has a nice upper deck and Ceviche……any truth to that……ok suggest away everyone. I am thinking beach side if at all possible.

I am not a lover of Ceviche, but my friend is, I am doing a one day whirl wind tour of the Coast as they always stay in Cancun as they are in the Travel Industry and it is just easy for them. I am always going on about the rest of QRoo., so want to have an enjoyable gorgeous day.

On Cenote's: I have been to many of the Cenote's, but really do not want to go as far as Hidden Worlds or the Cenote's around Tulum. Can anyone suggest an amazing Cenote or two more Central to Playa, but still mind blowing. I wish I had the time to go as far as the Cenote's past Coba, but it is just to far for a day.

Thanks everyone. Have a lovely day

Canibal Royal is a great option. The view is great and if you like lounge music/ electronica chill they have good beach music. They do have several ceviche/seafood options. Here are some photos. Canibal Royal Beach Club Review | Everything Playa Del Carmen

If you want a beach side table, it is best to get there early in the day as it is popular and limited seating next to the beach.

The best cenotes are south of Playa in front of Barceló on the highway. It is about a 15 minute drive and you can take colectivos is you want to.Cenote Eden is everyone's favorite.

Canibal Royale has some of the best food (not just beach food) in al of Playa del Carmen. It's my favorite place for lunch! Try the Shrimp Burgers in rice paper wraps!

Thank you both so very much.

It always amazes me at how many times I can visit and still find some areas I have not discovered, great food yet to be tested and people who are nice enough to help out when one asks.

If you haven't looked through Seth's (Mr. Yucatan) website, you really should check that out too! Lots of good info!

The roof area they restrict to above 18, so no kids, not that there are a lot of kids at Canibal Royal. There is a small dip pool on the roof as well. Even the second floor is nice with shade and balcony giving you awesome views.
Michele, thanks for the shout out.

We are not kids, maybe at heart, but def not in experience, hahahaha.

I will have a look at the site, I did look at the article and I believe it is the article I read which I stuck in the back of my mind for those Ceviche and Shrimp lovers in my life.

I am hoping to be there the 22 of July to enjoy and show one of those AI peeps what Playa is really like!

Canibal for lunch after a lil tour, Cenote Eden, the beach maybe Zenzi for Happy Hour and El Fagon 6 y 30 for a later dinner. Sounds like a day dreams are made of!
