Great pics! I just got home at 1am last night and I already miss Playa so much. Love your boyfriends Sriracha shirt.

Day 4

Our third full day in paradise...AND IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! Someone is not as excited as I am.

We decided to do breakfast in the room for my birthday. We called room service to order and they were at our room within 15 minutes! Waffles and bacon for my boo. French toast, bacon and potatoes for me. It was yummy. The nice man who delivered breakfast also stopped by afterwards to make us mimosas in our suite. Awesome!

When we checked the weather before arriving in Playa, the forecast was rain all day for my birthday. However, the weather gods decided to bless us with a beautiful rain-free day at the resort:

Morning selfies! Look at that hair.

My boyfriend's back is still badly sunburned so no massage for him today. However, we decided since it was my birthday, I should still treat myself to one alone. He walked me to the spa, and I snapped some pics along the way:

A beautiful restaurant I saw in town (quite pricey!):

My favorite makeup store:

I decided to go to Sabai Spa for a massage after the amazing reviews I read on Trip Advisor. My massage was amazing! I can't remember the woman's name but would definitely recommend. Only $33 for one massage, and $50 for two. It's tucked in the courtyard of a hotel on 5th avenue between 8th and 6th streets:

After the massage my boyfriend met up with me for some more walking in the city, then we headed back to the resort. My boyfriend has been dying to see an iguana, and on the way back inside we finally saw one! Poor thing. His tail had obviously been severed before and his leg looked badly mangled. We think he might have been hit by a car.

My birthday lunch was at Asiana. I have been dreaming of eating here again and it was definitely the right choice! I started with the veggie salad and the spring roll, and he got the Thai beef salad (and also the spring roll).

For lunch I had tuna and salmon sashimi and a Philadelphia roll and California roll. Don't hesitate to try the sushi at this resort. It was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend got the Thai lamb, which was equally delicious.

We also split the fried ice cream for desert.

After lunch, we headed back to our room. Pit stop at Maria Marie's to take a pic with these guys!

Once we were back in the room it was time for some people watching on our amazing balcony. The clouds from earlier cleared up. I definitely would recommend suite 353 to anyone. The view can't be beat:

We also had more champagne

For some reason the resort started doing construction in the middle of the day above our room?? This was slightly annoying since we planned to do a bit of "relaxing" in the room, but off to the pool we went. When the clouds came back out we decided on a quick snack at El Med and then I went back into town to get my nails done before dinner. This little fella kept me company for on my walk.

I got a polish change on my nails and toes at Monica Express Nails. Terrible service and my big toe was damaged before I even got back to hotel. BOO!

When I got back to the room it was time to get dressed for dinner at Maria Marie's. Look at this little cutie that housekeeping left:

Our dinner reservations for Maria Marie's were at 6pm. I was a little bummed that we had to eat so early, especially because I originally made reservations for 7:30pm with the COBA concierge and when we she realized the mistake, she was not apologetic at all. Even at 6pm, we still had a fabulous dinner. To start, I ordered Caesar salad, and the ratatouille. My boyfriend got the lobster bisque and the salad. Yummmm.

For an entree, my boyfriend got the lamb. He forgot he already had lamb at lunch. The special of the night was lobster, filet mignon wrapped in bacon and topped with a peppercorn sauce, served with mashed potatoes, a baked potato, rice and mixed veggies. The special was not included in the all-inclusive package, and was $410 pesos ($31 USD). Since it was a special night, it's what I ordered:

We both got creme brle for dessert. I will say that the food was good, but we didn't think it was worth eating the again. It was very hot and stuffy. We enjoy dining at Asiana much more.

We returned to the room around 8pm and they are still doing construction!!! Right now there are men drilling right in front of the building. Tried to snap a shot of them, but it was very dark.

After a quick break in the room, we headed to the lobby bar for a drink. I was exhausted, so I came back to the room around 9:25, turn down service came! Not super impressive but still cool.

Also, THERE IS STILL CONSTRUCTION GOING ON. Apparently the water in the main pool bathroom isn't working.

Tomorrow is our last full day on the resort.
