We rented a house on the ocean (eastside) about 5 min walk from Hildago.
Last year we stayed at Hotel Rocomar. Basic, clean, and great ocean view. Just a short stroll to Hildago and Playa Norte.

Ahhh, we have never stayed on the East Side...always stay on the Playa Norte side. Might have to think about that, ocean view is always nice.

Thanks, I looked at their website, and it does look very nice. Is it quiet at night? Do you recommend a specific room?

Yes we will be half way through our trip when you arrive on Isla.
We have a house rented on Isla March 1-8. We may get there on the 28th and book a night in a hotel. I know the hotel you are staying at. It is across from one of Linda's favorite bars on Hildalgo called Kokonut's.

Yes....I can recommend room 1. Nice balcony. Great breakfast, and even better happy hour. They know how to take care of their guests.
