Ouch! on the sunburn. They can really put a damper on a vacation. Worst sunburn I ever had was after I sat under an umbrella on a Ft. Lauderdale beach! An umbrella I paid to use! I shouldn't have assumed it was Sunbrella fabric.

Love your trip report! All your trip reports!

Mine had no jam! I was so confused...kept looking at the package and seeing the picture, but nothing. Unless the kids ate it all and didn't tell me.

I've had some horrible sunburn in my life...which is why Im so obsessive about sunscreen now. In the grand scene of things, none of us were too badly burned and it could have been much worse, and luckily no more burring the rest of the trip for anyone!

I'm loving this TR!! I'm also terribly sad today. If it wasn't for my refusal to leave my elderly cat, I would be typing this from PDC. We would have normally left this morning . The first thing I thought of when I woke up was I should be sitting in the Charlotte airport at this time. Then I pouted bc I was missing my first lunch and cold Cerveza in PDC. (So I went to McDonalds and ate fries, lots of fries!). I bought everything to make a poblano and corn chowder, Guac and coconut ice cream but decided to go out to dinner. So that's tomorrow's treat...along with, hopefully, more pics and great stories from you!

Yay!! I've been waiting for this report!

I never minded the walk from Xaman Ha, but we weren't there in August .

We had a one bedroom condo, it needed updating, wasn't nearly as nice as yours looks. But, it was quiet and we never had a problem getting a lounge chair.

Thank you for the pictures, and keep typing, chica!

Oh no, I would be heartbroken, but you gotta take care of the kitty. Enjoy your treats!

It was definitely the heat that made it so bad, because the actual distance wasn't terrible, just further than I expected. Otherwise it was lovely, but we never managed to make it above 26th street.

I agree with you it's a long walk. We stayed in Playacar last year and even if I had not gotten the revenge, there's no way we could have walked the entire length of 5th if we had walked from the hotel. We did walk to the Playacar security gate, on 10th I believe (?), but didn't go any further into town on foot. I think the taxi was $7 to where the old Real used to be on 5th from where we stayed and we'd stroll back towards Playacar and eventually get a taxi back to the hotel.
