Back. It's like the old days here. Aubry with a sprained foot sitting in my favorite chair with my TV completely rewired, watching reruns of something, with a laptop in her lap; being her usual self. Bonny cooking, braless and barefoot in the kitchen. etc . . .

Going to hike into the brier patch this afternoon with a machete and some rose clippers and cut some tunnels through the blackberries to set up some stands. It's still too hot and sunny to get excited about deer hunting, but as soon as the rains come, I don't want to spend my time getting tangled up in thorns.

The briers run along the river behind a bunch of farm land. The deer spend their nights eating on the farms and go into the briers during the day. There aren't alot of hunters, as stupid as I, that are willing to go in there so I generally have the whole place to myself.

It's miserably fun.

Where's your sense of adventure? 10' tall walls of thorny blackberry vines mixed with poison oak. (Also thorny). And if you're lucky, you crawl right into a patch of stingng nettles, or a hornets nest. Great fun. You would be surprised how fast you can crawl through a brier when you piss off some hornets.
