Introduction

Hi,

My name is Pepper. My husband(Pete) & I just moved to Puerto Adventuras a week ago this past Sat. We're ready to get started on our new adventure here. So far, we are loving it. We just heard about this forum, Playa.Info, and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions being a newbie here. Have a great day everyone!!

We researched 5 cities in 3 countries (2 weeks each from Nov 4th to Dec 16th) to see which place we thought would be a good fit for my husband & I. We decided on PA (Puerta Adventuras) in Jan. Our home didn't sell until May. So it wasn't actually until then that we started the process of getting everything ready for our move, going to Mexican Consulate in New Orleans, selling most of our processions, renting our condo in PA, etc. We met a couple from Nevada that have lived i Tulum for a year that we stayed in touch with & they were very, very helpful with giving us contact info of people here in PDC who could help with the temporal residente card & having our things shipped over here. My # is 850-393-1875 (just like calling me in the states) if you would like to call me to talk about anything.

How exciting!! Some day this will be us, or we will just snow bird down for 180 days a year. Haven't decided yet, but that is still 10 years away probably.

Pepper, I have a request for you. Go down to the highway to Paco's Tacos next to the Pemex station near P.A......give me a review of the taco's please!

Hi Pepper,

Welcome to P.A. and Q. Roo. There's an on-line newspaper in P.A. called Pelican Free Press, just in case you haven't discovered it yet.

If you eat fish, the charter boats come in early afternoon with their passengers and, when the customers leave, they sell the extra fish. It's interesting to walk around and see who has what and decide which fish to buy for dinner. They clean and fillet it all, too.

It's a really nice community.
