Sensitive Stomach

Did many/any in your group need the Pepto, etc, often? I have a sensitive stomach - it's one of the only things I'm worried about.

If you have a sensitive stomach you may want to take some Imodium A-D as well as Pepto just in case. My 15yr-old has a sort-of sensitive stomach and he was out of commission for about 24 hrs I was glad I had packed both for him.

Great info.! We're leaving in 3 weeks and can't wait. We want to take Anna & James trip to Chichen Itza on June 8. We filled out the form but we're wondering how they get a hold of us as our email address was not on the form. Thanks

you may already know this...but you may have to re-book your tour. It seems there was a glitch (James, maybe ) that caused some of the reservations to be lost. If this is old news...sorry

airport to tucan

I thought others may be interested in this answer. Would you recommend a private transfer form the airport?

If you didn't book a package deal that comes with transfer from airport to hotel and back again, then I'd recommend booking through this site. Click here. I'd feel quite assured that they'll be there when they're supposed to be to pick you up, and the fact that they'll bring you directly to your destination without a bunch of other stops along the way would be a sure-hit plus in my book!

Thanks. Is this the transfer you used? Actually, transfers are included in our price...however, we don't like the idea of stopping at several hotels on the way.

transfers

You might want to check with your travel agent. Our charters now transfer just your group in one van/bus, rather than stopping at multiple hotels. Since it's included, why pay more?

No, I haven't used the service. We've done AI packages in the past where it was included, and for our next trip, we got a package with the non-AI hotel and even they included airport transfers. As mbelec said, if it's already included (paid for) in your package, why pay more?? Yes, you might get to your hotel a little later depending on where your resort is located along the way, but is an extra 30-45 minutes really worth spending more $$? If it is, then go for it. But personally, I'd just sit back, enjoy the view, and plan to spend that $50-70 on something else!

Don't know what vacation company you booked your trip with (or even if you USED a vacation company ) but just in case.....Funjet, US Air Vacations, Transglobal and a few other companies offer a non stop transfer for only $13 additional per person. It may not be a private transfer, if someone else gets off a plane close to the same time that you do, and is going to the same hotel, you could share the ride. But it will be NON STOP, no dropping people off at other hotels. Not a bad deal at all for $13 round trip! If you booked through an agent and used any of the above companies, ask about it.

Apple has the same service but it's private and costs $50/pp. Boooo!

Shammy, If booking with Apple, are there any semi-private transfers we could use to get to the IB Tucan. Last trip, GF and I could not find our bags at the airport and missed our bus. They got us on another bus, but it was quite the nerve wracking experience. This next trip, there will be 8 of us (2 families) and only my GF and I have been to PDC area.

No Kev, Apple only offers a private transfer for $50/pp. They don't have the non stop option like Funjet does, which stinks because that's an awesome price for a really nice feature.

For all 8 of you, that would be $400! You could hire an outside company to take you to the Tucan for much less than that.
