PDC Challange

First of all THANK YOU for this board!

I'd like to issue a challange to any PDC local whose game.

The challange is to solve the following scenario:

Assume you are a from the US and have $180,000.00 in cash. You want to move to PDC and have no other source of income. Can it be done? How would you do it?

THANKS to all who reply!

1. I would start by hiding my identity and not letting anyone know how much money I had.
2. I would do as much research as posible, and talk to people who have done the move. there are several here on the board.
3. There are several sites deticated to moving to Mexico, the do's and dont's. I would become very familiar with them.
4. This board has several threads on the subject. Another place to find some good information is Cancun Assist

Good luck

fly there find a small place to rent....hang out for a couple of months living simple....learn the area not as a tourist but as a local...get the in's and out's...maybe look for some work Bartender, pool boy what ever....keep the bulk of the cash in the bank sit on it....$180,000.00 is a good chung of change it even looks bigger in pesos $1,800,000.00 I would look in the outer skirts of PDC not right on 5th maybe 7-8 blocks away for a good place to rent...befriend some locals and ask questions...if it all seems to much to handle....send me a certified check for half...you can PM me for address...I will go down and set you up a place to live and do all the research you need done...this will be a painless transition for you...I Promise....easy as 123....good luck!

Sounds like you have recieved some sound advice. I would only add that you should shop around for that assistance. For instance, I would be happy to offer my services for only a quater of your total .

Good luck!

I would look into things like a diverse investment plan of income producing stock and an annuity with half the money and then put another 25 percent into a diverse set of certificates of deposit with different banks and leave 25 percent or $45,000 in cash which is plenty of money to buy transition time

Interesting thought - thanks!

Read an excerpt from the book - Looks like an interesting beach read!

Anyone else?
