I have LOVED your trip report - your pictures are great!!

I have to say, this is the FIRST time I've ever been tempted to even try an AI in Playa, since I love renting a condo and walking everywhere. But the beach in your pictures is simply gorgeous, especially since the beaches in PDC itself have gone somewhat downhill in recent years. I'm really thinking I may try this place...

No Rick and Sue sightings at Luna Blue in your pics from Halloween!! I was expecting to see them!!

Deb, I was looking for them too. I met Rick before so wanted to chat, and I wanted to meet Sue.

fantastic! Thank you. We have stayed at the IB a few times and loved it. It looks like it hasn't changed a bit. (Except the beach is much bigger now.) I always liked their buffet presentations. It doesn't have that cafeteria feel about it like some of the other AIs.

Hi TracieLynn,

Thanks for the report...definately brought back memories of when we stayed there. We loved the italian!!!

Just a note for your next stay...My hubby is a caesar (canadian style) lover (our first trip is always onto 5th to pick up clamato)...the guys at the main bar (Tucan side)are awesome...when he asked about clamato juice for his caesar the bartender said No Problem Senor!......everyday after that the bartender picked some up on his way into work and had it set aside for Ron....only place to do that and needless to say my hubby was in heaven and the bartender got tipped heavily....lol

Great report, thanks for taking the time. You and your daughter are beautiful!

The food photos are making me hangry! Looks really good.

I think that middle pork dish on your Mayan Platter is their conchinita pibil. They do a great job at that, love the pickled onions too. I haven't been to Yaxche for years but that is what I would order there too...also the yellow curry at Babe's SO GOOD!!

I call that "7-11 nacho cheese", not arena cheese. But that works too.

No clamato! The horror! I find they almost have it everywhere on the Pacific side, not so much on the east coast. (Sometimes if you ask for Kermato, the MX brand, they will get it for you.)
